how to use memescope to spot crypto opportunities and avoid rugs

if you’ve been looking for a way to find early crypto plays while dodging rugs, memescope might just be your new best friend.

with the right filters, you could set yourself up to pull 20-30 sol ($5k) a day. here’s how you can do it.

what is memescope?

memescope is photon’s tool that helps you find coins early and figure out which ones are rugs vs actual opportunities. it’s split into 3 tabs:

  1. newly created – tokens that just launched.

  2. about to graduate – coins that are close to bonding.

  3. graduated – coins that just bonded.

these tabs make it super easy to navigate depending on your strategy. here’s how to use them.

step 1: master the newly created tab

newly created is where i spend most of my time. after a lot of trial and error, i’ve figured out the best filters to use for spotting early plays. here’s what works:

  • pumpfun (pf) coins only: these are secure contracts, so you’re less likely to get rugged.

  • holders count > 20: if a low-cap coin has more than 20 holders, it’s less likely to be dominated by a single whale.

  • dev holding = 0%: this keeps you safe from dev nukes.

  • age = 10 to 45 minutes: the sweet spot for coins that are new but still gaining momentum.

  • market cap = 5.5k to 8.5k: this range lets you jump in early while the cap is still low.

these filters help you focus on coins that have solid potential without wasting time on sketchy ones.

step 2: tweak filters for the other tabs

when using "about to graduate" and "graduated," your strategy changes a little:

  • always select pumpfun (pf) coins: this rule applies across all tabs. don’t skip it.

about to graduate tab

  • max market cap = 45k: this targets coins that are building momentum and close to bonding.

  • age = 45 minutes: coins right on the edge of breaking out.

graduated tab

  • market cap = 60k to 100k: perfect for catching dips and finding solid re-entries.

  • age = 45 minutes: keeps you in the momentum zone.

why filters matter

getting your filters right is the game changer. here’s why:

  1. better odds against rugs: you’re automatically cutting out high-risk coins.

  2. better odds of early entries: you’ll catch momentum plays before they blow up.

tips for success

  • always set a stop loss (sl): keep it close to your entry to protect yourself.

  • use photon for updates: memescope’s real-time updates mean you’re always ahead as tokens move.
